Syed Pir Karam Ali Shah, Governor Gilgit-Baltistan, has been admitted in a private hospital here due to fever. However, the condition of the governor, who was in Karachi for a couple of days, is not serious and he is likely to be discharged on Saturday after being taken to Agha Khan Hospital on Friday evening.
“I was not feeling well after hectic scheduled visits to China, Gilgit, Islamabad, Shindoor and finally Karachi during the last one week so deiced to have check up from doctor,” he said while talking to journalist at the hospital. “Doctor has advised me to take a rest for at least 24 hours while taking prescribed medicines for complete recovery from the illness,” he added. The over 70 years-old governor was admitted to hospital with the complaint of fever and pneumonia. Earlier he was residing here at the Chief Minister House where he was scheduled to attend some important meetings in next couple of days.
